The beach stretches one mile from the mouth of Channel Islands Harbor to Point Hueneme, at the mouth of Port Hueneme Harbor. La Janelle Park sits on Point Hueneme at the south end of the sandy beach. The park and offshore area is a popular fishing and surfing spot, this beach is home to many full time residents.
Parking is free from sunrise to sunset in two lots: one adjacent to San Nicholas Road, and the other adjacent to Sawtelle Avenue.
